I was out today.
Supposedly to 'sever' my ties with NYP. Apparently there were some complications. But not to worry, it's not too serious.
Anyways, all I have to say is that the people at the NYP Admin Office are like shit. Yes, useless, stinky, pieces of shit.
Okay, they have this small machine that churns out queue numbers. It is MANDATORY for you to get a queue number if you have any queries. DO NOT approach the counter UNLESS your number is called.
At least that's what I learnt for over a year at NYP. They're damned unflexible and unfriendly. I was down at the office once, and happened to be the only one there too. I thought, fuck the queue number lah, there's no queue anyways. But then the retarded guy receptionist insisted I get a number. Then retardedly called my number on the cheap and old LCD.
So today, I went into the office. It was a sea of silence. I retardedly pressed for a queue ticket. It's REALLY so stupid! I feel so bad just thinking about it. I was number 34. They were 'serving' number 33, so I got really excited 'cos it was gonna be my turn!
I held on to my queue ticket and wandered around the office, looking at brochures, looking at all sorts of application forms and just looking around. I thought, that number 33 guy is taking way too long!
Then the receptionist asked if I needed help. I gave the but-my-number-hasn't-been-called look, frowned a little but proceeded with my enquiry.
I was a sweet little angel, being very nice, very friendly and very attentive.
Then came this old bitch. She started to interrupt and, in the most accusing tone, REPEATED all that the receptionist had already told me.
Being old, and being a bitch, this bloody whore just ranted and ranted. Whatever lah, huh.
When I was right outta the door, I shot them the finger with my back facing them. THAT'S HOT.
Besides shooting fingers, I also shot some photos.
Cement that's cracked so artistically. It must have gone through a lot. I thought it was really interesting so I stopped to get a shot of it. It's got really nice colours and textures.
The tree bark photo. Interesting texture also. I'm kinda infatuated with textured surfaces.
It was a lovely day despite the horrible NYP Admin Office people because I JUST GOT PAID!
Back row: Creative Review Annual Special Issue May 2007, Little Britain Season 1 DVD, Little Britain Season 2 DVD
Front row: (left to right) idn Fashion Graphics Issue, Big Brovaz 'Hangin' Around' Single, Hairspray Soundtrack, Communication Arts Illustration Annual
First I have to say:
"Sorry Kalis, haven't been utilising my pageONE membership card."
I went to Basheer to get my bi-monthly dose of idn. Plus I decided to heed the LaSalle lecturers' advice by getting design journals. Basheer DID carry design journals. But I had to ask them about it. I mean, I have zero idea what design journals there are. Turns out, these journals have been on the shelves all the time. It's strange how I just totally missed them out on all the ocassions I've been there! Tsk, tsk, our power to overlook...
Before that, I was at HMV at The Heeren. I just thought to have a little fun, so I decided to get the Hairspray Soundtrack! Haha!.. It was purely for fun, really. Have you seen the movie trailer? So groovy!
Actually, what I really wanted to get was the Little Britain DVD! I was like, what the heck, just get season 1 AND season 2 lor.
And then, just to try my luck, I looked for Big Brovaz. Futile, of course, until I stumbled upon the 'Singles' section. Looked up Big Brovaz and voila! Staring at me as though it's the first time it's seen the light of day, the Hangin' Around Single! Then just got it lor. Might as well right..
Well, off to do some reading now...
